Paw Patrol Party!

I'm sure in the next year or less, Paw Patrol party stuff will be EVERYWHERE.  But, it wasn't when I was planning my youngest's 5th birthday party. So, here's how I pulled it off-

-I was able to score free Paw Patrol printables at nickjr.com which were a huge hit with the kids.
-I found super cute paw print birthday napkins and  a disposable table cloth on amazon.com.
-The cake toppers are the pieces from our Paw Patrol game (it's about $10 at Toys R Us)
-All of the other decor came from the Dollar Store.

3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

My mom used to make these all the time when I was a kid.  So much fun sharing them with my boys now!

Ingredients:
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg

Makes 15 Cookies

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350
In a medium size bowl mix together peanut butter, sugar and egg with a spoon until combined.

Drop by heading spoon full onto ungreased cookie sheet.  I use two spoons.  One to scoop and the other to push the cookie dough off the spoon and onto the cookie sheet.  Use a fork to lightly flatten the dough.

Bake for about 12 minutes.  Allow to cool for a few minutes on the cookie sheet before removing cookies with a spatula.

My boys love to put sprinkles on their cookies!

A Few of the Little Things

By: Erin T Gunti

Four AM feedings
Sippy cups leaking
 Diapers exploding
Carpool slow with unloading

Stretch marks and sagging and eyes black with bags
These are a few of the things I now have

When the lamp breaks
When my back aches
When I’m feeling mad
I simply remember they will soon go to bed
And then I don’t feel so bad

Stains on my carpet
That might have been vomit
 Projects not started
Because I’ve forgotten

Sayings repeating that sound like my mom
These are a few of the things that make me drink to stay calm

When the laundry piles
When sleep has been a while
When I’m feeling sad
I simply remember that this time will pass
And then I don’t feel so bad

Toys in the stairwell
Will probably just stay there
Catching a spill
While the bowl is still midair

Stepping on Legos with out shouting God’s name in vain
These are a few of the things that drive me insane

When my kid cries
When they have pink eye
When I’m feeling sad
I simply remember those little blessings I have
And then I don’t feel so bad

Sky Zone!

The Autry boys had spring break this week so I let Ben and James skip a day of preschool (I figured they could go one day w/o reciting the alphabet).  We went to sky zone and jumped, jumped, jumped until we couldn't jump any more!

Happy Easter!

We hosted an PrEaster brunch the Saturday before Easter.  Aunt Amy shared the Resurrection story and made Resurrection Rolls with the kiddies.  We also had an egg hunt in the back yard.  Fun times!

The boys enjoyed opening their Easter baskets.  Their favorite thing they got were the Lego Star Wars movies.  We've probably watched them each 100 times by now!
After (a very crowded) Easter mass we headed over the mountain to visit with The Reece family.  We had a great time!

James and the random naps

For a kid who didn't sleep through the night until he was 15 months old, James sure does crack us up about where (and how!) he chooses to fall asleep!

Yea, that looks comfy
Under a big pile of pillows

Sleeping sitting up
Sleeping on Daddy in a LOUD mall!
It takes real skill to sleep standing up.

Easter Decorations

Its finally March and I could FINALLY get my Easter decorations out!

Here is a pic of my buffet.  To make the decor inside the cake stand I used six pastel eggs and some egg garland.  Both I got at Hobby Lobby.  The large and medium sized bunnies are cookie jars and the small bunnies are salt and pepper shakers.  Those are all from Harry and David. The bunnies on swings I found at Goodwill.

And here is my pinterest inspired project that only cost $11!  The glass bowl is something I already had.  The four packs of peeps I used were $5 and the silk flower bunch was $6.
