The MOG

Sunday, March 3rd was full of surprises.  Merner and Poppy wanted to try out a sleep number bed so they called us and asked us to go to the Mall of Ga with them.  (Sorry Josh, we know how much you love that place so please forgive us for going with out you!)

We stopped by the food court first for lunch and took a pic to text to Josh to tease him about where we were.....he didn't write us back.

I stopped by The Children's Place in hopes of finding Easter outfits for Ben and James.  They had some cute stuff but it wasn't quiet what I was looking for.  Charlie took the boys to ride the escalators and to the Disney store while I shopped.  This really wore James out!  This is how I found James and Daddy after leaving TCP.
The BEST part of the MOG was who we ran in to.....Tara and Matt Barrett!  What are the odds???

Dentist Appointments

On February 4th the kid-os had dentist appointments with Dr. Fountain.  They both did GREAT!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!  The boys both had Valentine Parties at their school.  Ben gave out Lego Star Wars Valentine Cards and James gave out Spiderman Valentine cards.  They were both hopped up on sugar when I picked them up from school!

James' teacher asked me to bring in a wheat free, egg free, nut free treat for his 3 y/o class.  Challenge accepted!  Here is a what I came up with (use whatever quantity you need for the amount of kids you need to feed):

-Jett Puff fruit flavored mini marshmallows
-kroger brand milk chocolate chips
- home made banana chips (preheat over to 175.  Thinly slice bananas and place on a single layer on a baking sheet.  Brush with lemon juice.  Bake in the oven for 3-4 hours.  Allow to cool before storing)

I put individual portions in cupcake liners.  They were a big hit with the kids!

Happy Birthday Merner!

Ok, I'm ALOT late posting this but on 1/19 we met The Autrys, Merner, Poppy, Ed and Sessa-lish at the Cracker Barrel to celebrate mom's b-day and then we came back to our house for birthday treats.  The boys put the pecans on the turtle pecan cake with a caramel butter cream icing. Ben did the pecans on the top.  He said he was building a nut house LOL!  James did the pecans on the side.  He said he was putting them to sleep inside the icing.  Too cute!  Here is a pic of our yummy desserts and a pic of the birthday girl!

BLT Roll-Ups for a Crowd

I got this idea from Pinterest and served these at the Tribble Family reunion.  They were a big hit and several people asked me for the recipe!

Here is what you need:
2 packs of center-cut bacon cooked and crumbled
2 (8 oz) blocks of cream cheese, softened
1 cup mayonnaise
1 large tomato seeded and chopped
7-8 flour tortillas
Red leaf lettuce
Plastic wrap

Stir together the crumbled bacon, cream cheese, mayonnaise and tomato until combined.  Spread a large spoonful around each tortilla leaving about a 1/2 inch border.  Top each tortilla with lettuce and then roll up and wrap in plastic wrap.  Refrigerate over night and, when ready to serve, slice into bit size rounds (discard the ends).

Tribble Family Reunion

On Saturday, January 12th, the Tribble family came together for our very first family reunion.  We had a great time catching up and enjoyed a great spread of food.  The reunion was at the Foothills Community room in Lula.

Anna Ruby Falls

After weeks of windy, rainy and chilly weather we were blessed with a spring-like day of 70+ degrees. We took advantage of the beautiful day and headed to Anna Ruby Falls.  Due to all the rain from the previous weeks the water rushing was REALLY LOUD!  Here is a short clip of the beautiful falls!
